A Ni-based alloy containing Cu, Al and Y
has been synthesized by arc melting. The alloy is characterized by XRD, TG,
morphology observation and SEM. The corrosion-resistant test is carried out in
K2CO3-Li2CO3(1 : 1 mole). The
results showed that the alloy is a solid solution and no intermetallic compound
has been observed in it. The addition of Y element as an additive into the
alloy improved the oxidation-resistant at up to 9000C in air and
corrosion resistant in molten carbonate salt at 6500C, and made the
grain finer. Y element is concentrated at the grain boundary in the alloy.
